Members Own Notes

An artist of many callings, with a background in Fine art and a new interest in graphic design and illustration, I am currently a student at Liverpool John Moores University, studying Graphic Arts and undertaking a variety of illustrative briefs.

I have a brief knowlege of a range of art forms including photography (traditional and digital), fashion illustration, digital design (photoshop, illustrator, inDesign) as well as a strong interest in Fine Art, which is mainly based around experimental, painterly and textural styles.

I work mainly with pen, pencils and design software to develop drawings. However in the past have used various materials for Fine Art based work such as, acrylic, watercolour, mixed media, glue, natural materials (hay, sand, wood), the list goes on...

Currently exploring illustration as part of my degree, I have grown to appreciate children's book illustration, drawing techniques, digital development, hand drawn typography, etcetera.

I hope to pursue this art form extensively over the next few years
