Artwork Description
As a non fisher, I had never realised the existence of what are know as salmon fishers. The early morning start to head up the coast of my New Zealand uncles home in Christchurch was a splendour itself, with lilac and pink whipped cream skies and bird song that you could listen to for eternity. Eventually we ended up on the beach which is the scene that I have captured. The sense of finding a space in the seriousness and the communal mediation was magical to say the least. I am now offically a convert and willingly preach to all who will listen.
