Live painting done at Coconut Grove in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia during the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in 2007.This is one of many live painted works I have done of events and gatherings in Halifax and area over the last few years. Dramatic lighting resulted from the stage lights and my painting under the dim light of a candle somewhere in the room. Bars are by far my favorite places to paint, because it's one way to find people meeting in a social context without it being too weird to sit there and paint them.
